Love is built in small accumulations
day by day: the incremental silt
that stays after water washes away
the transitory, the rich alluvial acts
that form new shore, the slow action of
the coeur on retreating time. the sediment
each kindness brings, the imperceptible
accretion there when flooding waters come.
